One Purshotam: Wisdom From Our Leadership

Purshotam Company Private Limited has been leading the metal marking machine distribution industry for decades. Through our hard work and devotion we have become one of the most sought after industrial solutions provider. Recently we hosted “One Purshotam”, an event which acknowledged our achievements, and set the road map for our future.

“One Purshotam” also witnessed some valuable insights of our leadership. Here are some excerpts from the speech by our captain.

No Complacency

“Do not be complacent. Keep striving for growth. For the past few decades I have been completely invested in the growth of Purshotam Company Private Limited. Today we have expanded across India, today we have bases in all major cities in the country, and we will not stop until we become the first choice of businesses all over India.

How are we going to achieve this? By adding real value to the lives of our clients. By not merely meeting their expectations but by exceeding them. Through our commitment and hard work we can make this happen. I believe that if each individual in our company, does whatever possible, within our capability, capacity and constraints, together we can achieve the growth and success that we desire.”

Don’t wish for it. Work for it.

“Finally, I will leave you with a short story. Once there was a farm, and on that farm there was a rooster. Far away from the farm, there was a tower with a bell. Every hour that bell used to ring, and the rooster would get excited and yell out on top of his voice.

Every day the rooster used to wish to see the tower, but sadly the rooster couldn’t fly like the other birds. One day, the bull saw the rooster sad. He asked what happened, and the rooster told him his wish.

The bull said, “Do you know, if you eat some of my dung, you will be able to jump really high, and climb on the tallest tree on the farm, and maybe you could see the tower.”

The rooster was not sure if this would work, but still decided to give it a try. Surprisingly, it worked! The dung helped the rooster jump really high. From the next day, the rooster used to have some dung, climb on the tallest tree on the farm, see the bell tower and yell in joy every time the bell rung.

One day, the rooster ate more dung than usual, and reached the very top of the tallest tree, and when the bell started ringing, he started yelling. Close to the farm, there lived a grumpy old man. He was really annoyed by the rooster’s noise, but he could never see the rooster. Today, he saw the rooster on top of a tree, making the noise that annoyed him so much. He took his gun, aimed for the rooster and shot him down!

Surprised? Don’t you want to know the moral of the story? Any guesses? It is quite simple.

“Bullshit may help you reach the top, but it will never keep you there!”

At Purshotam Company Private Limited, we believe, success does not take the elevator. It takes the stairs. It will take years and years of effort to reach the top and stay there. To stay at the top you need to be ambitious, hardworking, consistent, and persistent.”

These wise words encourage us to be better, and it will also serve as an inspiration to other businesses working towards their goals.
